The seminar building and the surrounding garden form the physical basis of the seminar's community. This is where most of the time is spent. The seminarists live in rooms. In the first term students live in a double room, then normally change to a small single room. On each floor there is a common room, a kitchen, bathrooms and toilets. The office an the large rooms, in which the various courses artistic and practical activities take place, are to be found on the 3^rd floor, the ground floor and the cellar. A large garden full of different plants, beehives, places to sit and a wonderful view of the Neckar valley surrounds the house.

 

The building and the garden need of course regular cleaning and repair. This is an important aspect in the weekly programme and is, for the most part, and is largely taken care of by the seminarists themselves. The use of equipment in the house, for instance the music instruments, is also left in the responsible hands of the seminarists. Thus a essential  a caring attitude is essential! Due to the poor sound-proofing in the house and the proximity to the neighbours we ask for quiet hours between 22:00 and 6:00 to be observed.   Living in the Youth seminar is subject to registration.

Friends and relations can stay in your room at the weekends, though not if you are sharing a room, which is the usual case in the first term. In this case it is possible to rent another room for which a fee will be charged.
